African Technology Forum Student challenge is not just a competition; it's an opportunity to push the boundaries of what's possible in AI. this challenge is designed for students to bring together minds from diverse backgrounds to tackle real-world problems and create meaningful solutions in the field health, energy and other sector in africa.

To foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where participants can learn, innovate, and address local challenges, the African Technology Forum (ATF) established a Code of Conduct that all participants must adhere to during the challenge. This code outlines the principles of respect, integrity, and responsible behavior that we expect everyone to uphold:
Every participant should be treated with respect, regardless of their background, expertise, or experience. We strive to create an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated.
All work should be original and developed during the hackathon. Plagiarism, use of unauthorized materials, or unethical behavior will not be tolerated. Respect for intellectual property rights is essential.
Keep all communication, whether verbal or written, positive and constructive. Avoid negative comments or criticisms that are not constructive.
Harassment in any form, including but not limited to harassment based on gender, race, ethnicity, religion, age, sexual orientation, or disability, is strictly prohibited. This applies to all interactions during the hackathon, including social media and online forums.
In case of any disputes or conflicts, participants should approach the organizers who will work towards a fair and amicable resolution.
While competition is a part of the hackathon, collaboration and teamwork are key. Participants are encouraged to share ideas, help each other, and work together towards innovative solutions.
Prioritize your health and well-being. Take regular breaks, eat properly, and stay hydrated. If you feel unwell or notice someone in distress, please contact an organizer immediately.
All participants must adhere to the specific rules and guidelines of the hackathon. This includes any rules regarding the submission of projects, use of technology, and timelines.
Be mindful of privacy and data protection laws. Do not use or distribute personal data without proper authorization and consent.

The Challenge welcomes all undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent graduates, students having gaduated within the last five years, with a particular focus on those in tech hubs and those driven by an entrepreneurial spirit. Participation is open to teams of 3-5 individuals, with multi-disciplinary teams strongly encouraged.
Multidisciplinary teams are essential for diverse perspectives and skillsets. One or two members must possess an intermediate to advanced level of experience in a general-purpose programming language like Python, Ruby, or C++.
African Technology Forum (ATF) is a registered non-profit organization (NGO) in Ghana dedicated to the promotion of science and technology in Africa. Founded in 1988, the organization has published pioneering publications in science and related fields and built a network of students and professionals in Africa, Europe, and the Americas.
The objective of the Challenge is to bring out the innovative and creative abilities in students and to encourage the application of acquired knowledge and skills to solve real world problems. This year’s challenge will introduce students to AI technologies as one of the tools for solving local problems.
